Ischia prepares for the most anticipated holiday all year. The sacred and folk rituals that characterize this celebration are linked to an authentic devotion that fishermen in particular and the whole town have to St. Anne. For this reason, the days leading up to the festival become a ritual of preparation for that moment that gladdens the hearts of islanders and tourists alike.
Events toward the Feast of St. Anne 2024
There are numerous events scheduled in the weeks leading up to July 26, a calendar of events that thickens a few days before the festival and that this year culminates on July 24 with “Once Upon a Time in the Village of Ischia Ponte.”
The event includes a Tour of the ancient fishing village of Ischia Ponte, with an expert guide. A journey through tradition and culture with tasting of typical products and local wine.
Also on the evening of July 24, music will take center stage with the IschiaTalent Show, musicians from Ischia in concert.

From July 15 to 26, Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, the Art Workshop “Waiting for S.Anna” will be held
This is an exhibition of Ischian artists with “live” creations of works on the theme “S.Anna” in the space in front of the VisitIschia Infopoint office in Piazzetta San Girolamo 109. On July 23, 24 and 25, the exhibition of the works created will continue in Ischia Ponte, in the Piazza le Aragonese.
The ancient rite of childbirths is renewed
Next July 25 will also see the renewal of the ancient devotional rite of parturients to St. Anne. On the eve of the feast, pregnant women will go in procession to Ischia Ponte.
