THE GRAPE FESTIVAL IN CAMPAGNANO AMONG TRADITION, GOOD FOOD AND THE SYMPATHY OF “I DITELO VOI”
On Friday, September 13, the Grape Festival returns to Campagnano. An end-of-summer moment that celebrates the connection of Ischia and the people of Ischia with grapes and wine, just when the area’s many farmers are busy with the tiring but also exciting harvest time. The event is organized by the Association “Il Palmento Villa Campagnano” and sponsored by the municipality of Ischia. The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m., when the harvest will be “staged” in the square, entertaining adults and children with the customs and tools that have been handed down from generation to generation. Shortly afterwards, at 6:00 p.m., the preparation and tasting of the traditional rabbit all’ischitana will begin, which will be accompanied throughout the evening by the tasting of Ischitan sausages alongside the harvest salad. From the moment dedicated to traditions, the artistic entertainment of “I ditelo voi” will take place. The comedy trio will perform at 9 p.m. and takes the place of the “Audio 2” show that was initially announced but was later canceled, at the explicit request of the artists. The hamlet of Campagnano is ready to dress up for the festivities by highlighting its authenticity through the enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage that still characterizes the everyday life of one of the most beautiful places on Ischia.
